As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced HR professional to own and strengthen our people operations. This is a hands-on, high-impact role for someone who thrives in small business environments and wants to build systems that scale with care. Role Summary This role serves as the sole HR owner for a growing organization of approximately 40 employees, with continued growth ahead. You will manage the full spectrum of human resources responsibilities while partnering closely with leadership to support culture, compliance, and operational excellence. This position is ideal for a senior HR generalist or HR manager who enjoys autonomy, accountability, and being deeply embedded in the business.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally in a small or mid-sized organization
  • Demonstrated experience owning recruiting, employee relations, payroll, and compliance
  • Strong working knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
  • Experience with ATS and HRIS platforms such as JazzHR or similar systems

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
  • HR degree or PHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
  • Comfortable operating independently while partnering closely with leadership

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes across all roles
  • Manage employee relations matters, including performance issues, investigations, and corrective action
  • Administer benefits programs, workers’ compensation, unemployment claims, and leave processes
  • Coordinate and process payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
  • Maintain compliance with applicable employment laws, OSHA requirements, and HR best practices
  • Lead performance management processes and support leaders in coaching and development
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on people-related decisions and organizational growth
  • Maintain and improve HR systems, policies, and documentation
  • Support a culture of accountability, respect, and continuous improvement
