About The Position

Barr, Inc., the global leader in commercial refrigeration, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR professional to lead and manage all human resources functions, including payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance, and employee relations. Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in HR, payroll, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems, benefits administration, and compliance practices
  • Experience processing payroll and managing payroll systems
  • Familiarity with HR software (e.g., BambooHR), QuickBooks, and ERP systems is a plus
  • Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines
  • Experience in developing, rolling out, and executing a goal based performance management process
  • Experience building, developing, and executing training and development programs.
  • Experience in creating and enhancing risk management and safety programs
  • Level of comfort in both industrial and office settings
  • Experience in developing and enhancing systems related to driver and forklift certifications and safety requirements
  • Ability to manage and oversee key company systems such as, but not limited to, telecommunications, video conferencing, email communication, etc.

  • Familiarity with HR software (e.g., BambooHR), QuickBooks, and ERP systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage all aspects of human resources, including recruiting, onboarding, training, employee relations, and compliance
  • Process and manage payroll, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
  • Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, supplemental coverage, and retirement plans
  • Maintain and enforce HR policies, procedures, and compliance with state and federal laws
  • Provide support and guidance to managers and staff on HR-related issues
  • Coordinate performance evaluations and support employee development initiatives
  • Maintain employee records and HR documentation
  • Leverage HR systems and tools (e.g., BambooHR) to streamline processes and reporting
