About The Position

The HR Generalist is a key member of the Human Resources team, responsible for supporting the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment and talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compliance, training, and HR operations. This role partners closely with leadership and employees to foster a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace culture. The HR Generalist serves as a trusted resource to employees and managers, ensuring HR policies and practices align with company goals and employment regulations while delivering an exceptional employee experience from hire to exit. This position is ideal for a proactive HR professional who enjoys balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day HR operations and thrives in a people-focused environment.

Requirements

  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2–3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in an HR Generalist, HR Specialist, or recruiting-focused role.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS/ATS platforms (such as ADP or similar systems).
  • Experience supporting performance management, compensation, and benefits administration.
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar) preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred, or strong understanding of the Spanish language to effectively support a diverse workforce.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned positions, including workforce planning, job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer coordination.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop accurate job descriptions and define candidate qualifications.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, employee referrals, community partnerships, and networking events.
  • Conduct initial phone/video screenings and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Ensure a professional, positive, and compliant candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, recruiting events, and community outreach initiatives.
  • Coordinate background checks, drug screens, employment verifications, and pre-employment requirements.
  • Track recruiting metrics and provide regular hiring reports to leadership.
  • Coordinate and facilitate onboarding processes to ensure new hires are successfully integrated into the organization.
  • Prepare and maintain onboarding materials and orientation resources.
  • Partner with managers to ensure new employees receive appropriate training and support during their introductory period.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and retention efforts.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee questions and concerns, guiding alignment with company policy and employment laws.
  • Partner with managers to address employee relations matters, including performance concerns, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Assist with performance evaluation processes, goal setting, and annual review cycles.
  • Conduct exit interviews, analyze trends, and recommend retention strategies.
  • Support talent development initiatives and identify opportunities for employee growth and succession planning.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Ensure HR policies, procedures, and practices remain compliant and up to date.
  • Assist with policy development, handbook updates, and regulatory postings.
  • Support payroll, benefits administration, and compensation processes as needed.
  • Assist with HR audits and reporting requirements.
  • Promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and wellness initiatives across the organization.
  • Track and analyze HR metrics, including hiring, turnover, and employee engagement data.
  • Generate reports for leadership to support workforce planning and decision-making.
  • Provide general administrative HR support and take on additional HR-related projects as assigned.
