About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for a variety of duties and responsibilities in support of the Human Resources and Payroll department providing technical and administrative support. Duties may include compiling and analyzing data, coordination multiple concurrent activities, and interacting with individuals at all levels in the organization.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Human Resource Specialist, 10+ years
  • Experience with Union employees and CBA's
  • Any combination of education and experience related to college level work or experience in Human Resources
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and intermediate advanced knowledge of Excel in creating spreadsheets and database management tools.
  • Exemplary customer service, organization skills and able to multitask
  • Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with preparation and distribution of system wide communication on HR related topic
  • After receipt of conditional offer of employment, must be able to pass drug screen/physical/background check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide confidential technical and administrative support as related to Human Resources related policies, procedures and practices in addition to well-developed clerical skills.
  • Work closely with Regional Management team
  • Employee Relations
  • Manage Employee Lifecycle from new hire to termination
  • Employee Investigations
  • Represent the core values of FBM - Safety, Customer Service, Team focus, and maintain integrity and honesty.
  • Process HR documents such as new hire documents, disciplinary actions, workplace investigations and terminations
  • Coordinate HR projects and meetings
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal communications
  • Coordinates and performs management training such as interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment to build management capability within the organization
  • Researches, analyzes data and prepares quarterly reports on HR topics and current program goals and progress
  • Works to resolve issues within scope of experience to advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues; uses sound judgement and escalates matters when appropriate to the VP of HR.
  • Maintain the integrity of personnel files
  • Travel as necessary
