About The Position

The HR Coordinator facilitates the preparation and administration of leave of absences for employees, including handling inquiries, completing and processing leave of absence forms. Assists with all HR administrative duties including maintaining accurate employee files, Recruitment, and conducting New Hire orientations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in Human Resources required, with a minimum of one year’s recruiting experience.
  • Must be highly organized, possess excellent written/verbal communication skills, detail-oriented and dependable.
  • Experience with personal computers in a windows environment including Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Flexibility of work hours and proven reliability/dependability required.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks effectively and accurately. Attention to detail is critical.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Administer and coordinate HR onboarding and benefits enrollment. Ensures the smooth execution of the annual benefits open enrollment process.
  • Responsible for education of benefit programs to employees, enrollment processing, monitoring eligibility, and researching additional benefits that enhance the overall wellness of our team members as needed.
  • Assists with managing all benefit administration and 5500 reporting. Includes medical, dental, supplemental and voluntary insurance, FMLA and disability, FSA, Workers Compensation and COBRA and Section 125.
  • Serves as the HIPAA Security Officer and ensures annual training is completed.
  • Manages the tuition assistance process for the credit union.
  • Ensures compliance with all legal requirements of various employee benefit programs and prepares and files required legal reports.
  • Prepares content for HR related communications.
  • Assists with all HR audits and supports gathering HR requests for other department audits as needed.
  • Handles as HR related invoices and balancing to GL’s.
  • Assists with the recruiting process by preparing postings, screening, qualifying, interviewing, selecting and hiring candidates. Runs background and credit checks on all potential new hires and prepares offer letters.
  • Oversees the job description updating process. Works with management to modify and finalize all job descriptions in a timely manner.
