About The Position

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. This role combines human resources expertise with a strong focus on safety compliance and employee relations. The ideal candidate will be a trusted resource for employees and leadership, ensuring HR processes run smoothly while promoting a safe and positive work environment.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of HR and Safety Management experience.
  • 1+ years of experience in talent sourcing and recruitment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
  • Adaptable and resourceful, with creativity in addressing changing needs and situations.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM-CP or other HR certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage time-off requests, review timecards for accuracy, and maintain personnel documentation.
  • Partner with leadership on employee relations issues, performance improvement plans, and policy compliance.
  • Audit HR policies and procedures for accuracy and effectiveness; provide guidance and training to employees on proper practices.
  • Coordinate HR-related paperwork for new hires, terminations, status changes, and information updates; liaise with third-party HR partners.
  • Oversee recruitment efforts in collaboration with outsourced HR/recruitment partners, including scheduling interviews, candidate communication, and onboarding coordination.
  • Maintain accurate personnel data in the payroll system, including job changes, salary adjustments, and employment status updates.
  • Administer FMLA, disability claims, workers’ compensation, and maintain OSHA 300 logs.
  • Manage the employee safety program, including data reporting, scheduling safety meetings/toolbox talks, and documenting incidents and near misses.
  • Prepare and maintain written safety programs and training materials to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
  • Advise on safety issues for projects and operations; identify and evaluate workplace hazards and recommend corrective actions.
