About The Position

We are looking to employ an HR generalist with outstanding analytical and organizational skills, conflict management skills, the ability to multitask. To ensure success, HR generalists should exhibit strong decision-making skills with a deep understanding of employee relationships, staffing management and training. Top candidates will be comfortable managing gray areas, effective at scheduling and methodical in the recruitment process.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related preferred.
  • At least five years of human resource management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all internal and external HR-related matters.
  • Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures.
  • Assist with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, conducting reference checks and issuing employment contracts.
  • Investigate complaints brought forward by employees.
  • Perform orientations and update records of new staff.
  • Manage the organization’s employee database and prepare reports.
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, talent management, and employment law.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Recommend strategies to motivate employees.
