About The Position

The Human Resource Generalist will work with the HR Manager to run the daily functions of the Human Resource department. Tasks include administering pay, benefits, & leave, running reports from HRIS, tracking I-9, E-Verify compliance, onboarding new employees, and orientation training.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience with general Human Resources office procedures and best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, in all situations.
  • Possess good interpersonal skills to ensure intelligent and professional communications with employees.
  • Ability to complete multiple tasks/projects within an established and scheduled time frame.
  • Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to walk and stand.
  • Must be able to bend, kneel, stretch, and reach outward.
  • Must be able to lift/carry up to 10 lbs.
  • Must have valid US driver's license and good driver record.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required or at least one year of human resource experience preferred.
  • SHRM-CP a plus.
  • Knowledge and experience with Cloudesuite (Company’s HRIS, iCIMS).
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Fully understand and support Xanterra Mission Statement and Core Values.
  • Continually focus on providing exceptional guest service as a primary goal, both in how work is conducted and when interacting with guests.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Welcoming newly hired employees and executing the engagement plan throughout the onboarding journey; managing the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring a great experience for new employees and a smooth start into their roles.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Administers pre-employment testing and adverse action as necessary.
  • Ensure departmental adherence to all prescribed Company, statutory/regulatory policies and procedures.
  • Manages monthly newsletter.
  • Organizes employee cultural outings.
  • Other duties as assigned.
