About The Position

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for supporting the daily functions of the Human Resources (HR) department, including recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits and leave administration, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. This role serves as a key resource for employees and leadership, helping drive a positive and compliant workplace.

  • Minimum of one (1) year of HR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review, track, and document compliance with required training, certifications, and assessments (e.g., safety, anti-harassment, licensure).
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring process for open positions; partner with managers to identify staffing needs and required competencies.
  • Conduct background checks and verify employee eligibility.
  • Coordinate and deliver new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Administer HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave of absence, performance management, and employee relations.
  • Support and participate in employee investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
  • Respond to employee and supervisor inquiries, escalating complex or sensitive matters as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; assist in policy review and updates.
  • Stay informed on HR trends, regulatory changes, and best practices.
  • Assist with scheduling, workflow coordination, and support of HR team operations as needed.
  • Support performance management processes, including evaluations and coaching.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
