About The Position

Today, MDC Precision is a leading manufacturer of engineered process solutions in HV & UHV Vacuum, ceramic-to-metal bonding, and gas delivery, with locations in California, Texas, and Florida. The human resources department serves 404 employees. As a Human Resource Generalist with MDC Precision, you will interact with all levels of employees daily, handling a varied range of tasks including staffing logistics, employee training, benefits administration, employee discipline, grievances, health and safety, performance management, reports, Payroll, and legal compliance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 3 years of HR Generalist experience
  • 2 years of Hands-On Paylocity Payroll Experience
  • Knowledge of multi-state payroll

Responsibilities

  • Interact with all levels of employees daily
  • Be involved in staffing logistics
  • Be involved in employee training
  • Be involved in benefits administration
  • Be involved in employee discipline
  • Be involved in grievances
  • Be involved in health and safety
  • Be involved in performance management
  • Be involved in reports
  • Be involved in Payroll
  • Be involved in legal compliance
  • Independently process multi-state, full-cycle, US payroll for approximately 250 employees including pay, vacation/sick accruals, and garnishments using Paylocity
  • Run reports and create excel spreadsheets as necessary for payroll
  • Perform year-end payroll processes
  • Process facets of new hires including setting up drug screens and background checks
  • Work with IT to ensure everything is prepared for new hires' first day
  • Assist with the planning, scheduling, and promotion of company events, parties, food trucks, team building, and new hire orientation
  • Audit benefit billing to ensure new hires are correctly added
  • Audit benefit billing to ensure terminations are removed
  • Allocate bill charges by department
  • Work with the accounting department to process benefit payments
  • Ensure all benefit documentation is available to all employees in appropriate languages
