We're seeking a strategic and compassionate HR Generalist to join our growing team. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent professional experience in a leadership role
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a Human Resources-related position
  • Strong knowledge of labor and employment laws
  • Proven ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with employees at all levels
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Experience with HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) platforms

Nice To Haves

  • PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) certification
  • Experience in the food manufacturing or production industry
  • Background in recruiting and talent acquisition

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with managers to identify skills and competencies required for open positions, ensuring we're building the right team
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates for vacant positions, managing the full recruitment lifecycle
  • Build community connections through participation in local career fairs, chamber of commerce events, and partnerships with high schools and colleges
  • Monitor staffing metrics including fill rates and turnover, providing insights to improve retention and hiring efficiency
  • Address employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors with professionalism and confidentiality, escalating complex matters appropriately
  • Administer and execute comprehensive HR programs including compensation, benefits, leave management, performance reviews, talent development, recognition, occupational health and safety, and training initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review and update employee manuals, policies, and job descriptions regularly
  • Stay current with HR trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in human resources and employment law
  • Support additional HR projects and initiatives as assigned by management
