About The Position

We are seeking a people-focused and proactive HR Generalist to support our operations team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is highly visible and works closely with both leaders and team members to support daily HR needs, build strong relationships, and help create a positive and productive workplace. This position is focused on front-line HR support and employee relations—addressing concerns early, coaching leaders, and helping prevent issues before they grow. While this role includes responsibilities in benefits, timekeeping, and leave coordination (FMLA, STD, LTD), we partner with third-party providers for processing. This role ensures everything is handled accurately while providing strong communication and support to our team. The ideal candidate is approachable, organized, and comfortable working on the floor, with a mindset focused on teamwork, accountability, and getting the job done right.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on Human Resources experience in a Generalist or similar role
  • Experience supporting employee relations, benefits, and leave processes (FMLA, STD, LTD)
  • Hands-on experience supporting day-to-day employee needs
  • Working knowledge of benefits and employee support
  • Familiarity with FMLA, ADA, and leave processes (STD/LTD)
  • Understanding of timekeeping and payroll (audit/support level)
  • Practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Approachable and comfortable being visible on the floor
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Confident communicator who asks questions and clarifies needs
  • Self-starter with strong follow-through
  • HRIS/timekeeping proficiency
  • Professional, respectful, team-oriented attitude
  • Must follow all safety procedures, including PPE
  • Ability to stand/walk for extended periods, lift up to 25 lbs regularly (50 lbs occasionally), and perform physical tasks as needed
  • Must meet attendance and reliability expectations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, operations, or fast-paced environment is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
  • Experience in manufacturing or fast-paced environments preferred

Responsibilities

  • Spending time on the floor connecting with team members and leaders
  • Answering questions and helping resolve employee concerns in real time
  • Coaching supervisors on handling employee situations
  • Reviewing timecards and helping ensure payroll accuracy
  • Supporting benefits questions and open enrollment processes
  • Coordinating leave requests and working with third-party providers
  • Identifying small issues early and helping prevent bigger problems
  • Keeping HR processes organized, accurate, and running smoothly
  • Other duties as assigned
