About The Position

The Kroc HR Generalist is responsible for day-to-day administration and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Provides support to the leadership team in the area of human resource management.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field, or equivalent combination experience
  • 5 plus years’ experience in human resources or 1-3 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
  • Working knowledge of TEAMS and SharePoint
  • Have CPR/AED/First Aid certification or obtain within 45 days.
  • Must have a current valid driver’s license and pass the Salvation Army Motor VehicleRecord check (MVR)
  • Complete Safe From Harm training, and keep current as needed

Responsibilities

  • Input new employee information into payroll and timekeeping systems to create employee record.
  • Assist with payroll processing: Collecting and verifying employee and timekeeping data to ensure accurate wages, transfer codes and time edits.
  • Updating payroll information for promotions, transfers, terminations, and new hires.
  • Administer and manage the time and attendance system in collaboration with DHQ HR.
  • Coordinate with the Payroll Assistant to ensure all benefits enrollments, terminations, and changes for the Kroc Center are entered in ADP (HRIS) promptly each pay period.
  • Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new-hire orientations,” and including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.
  • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
  • Verify I-9 documentation and maintain employee personnel file.
  • Enforce, coordinate, monitor, and document mandatory “Kroc” training i.e “safe from harm”, professional licensure and certification.
  • Responsible for overseeing the employee uniform program; organizing and maintaining inventory, ordering, and disbursing uniforms.
  • Ensure the Kroc Center complies with all relevant federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Protect confidential information according to federal, state, and TSA guidelines, and use discernment on if/when to share sensitive information.
  • Update and maintain the Kroc Center supplemental handbook to reflect the unique policies and procedures associated with the Kroc Center, in collaboration with DHQ HR.
  • Update and maintain all Kroc Center employee HR files in both electronic and paper format, following all TSA, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Resolve employee relations issues by coaching, counseling, and facilitating conflict resolution.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all employee relations matters at the Kroc Center, assisting employees and managers with general and specific HR questions, and providing excellent customer service to all.
  • Escalate complex or sensitive employee relations matters to Kroc Administration and DHQ HR.
  • Create and implement innovative employee engagement initiatives to promote community, peer recognition, and a sense of belonging for Kroc Center employees.
  • Collaborate with EAT Committee to plan and execute Kroc Center employee events, including holiday parties, appreciation events, and monthly/quarterly gatherings.
  • Support and train managers on HR compliance topics.
  • Attend all staff meetings, as required.
  • Collaborate with DHQ HR on divisional HR projects and initiatives, such as open enrollment.
  • Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings

  • Paid Time Off which includes: Sick days begin accruing the first of the month following 30 days of employment and you may begin to use accrued sick days once available. Up to (6) earned sick days per year may be used as discretionary days.
  • Vacation begins accruing the first of the month after one full calendar month after employment begins, and you may begin to use vacation days after (90) days of employment. The accrual rate is based upon years of service and approved hours worked.
  • You will receive up to 2 personal days per year based on date of hire.
