About The Position

Resolution Think is seeking a highly capable, proactive, and detail-oriented HR Generalist to manage and execute core HR functions across the employee lifecycle in a fast-paced government contracting environment. This role serves as a key point of contact for employees and leadership, ensuring HR operations are compliant, efficient, and aligned with federal contracting requirements, including Service Contract Act (SCA) regulations. The ideal candidate brings strong experience in government contracting, SCA compliance, and full-cycle HR operations, along with the ability to support recruiting efforts and partner cross-functionally. This individual must be responsive, solutions-oriented, and able to operate independently with a high level of accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 2+ years of HR Generalist experience, preferably in government contracting
  • Demonstrated experience with Service Contract Act (SCA) compliance
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Experience with HRIS systems (ADP preferred)
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work hybrid in Tysons, VA

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting cleared or federal contract workforce
  • HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employee lifecycle from offer acceptance through onboarding, employment, and offboarding
  • Serve as a trusted HR advisor, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employee relations matters
  • Ensure HR processes are administered consistently and in compliance with federal, state, and local laws, including government contracting requirements
  • Prepare and issue employment offer letters in alignment with contract requirements
  • Initiate and manage background checks, drug screens, and other pre-employment processes
  • Partner closely with recruiting to ensure seamless transition from candidate selection to onboarding
  • Own and execute onboarding processes within ADP Workforce Now (or similar HRIS)
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all onboarding documentation and compliance requirements
  • Maintain data integrity across HR systems and employee records
  • Administer HR processes in accordance with Service Contract Act (SCA) requirements, including wage determinations and fringe benefits
  • Support audits and maintain documentation required for government contracts
  • Manage and triage the HR inbox as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries
  • Respond to HR-related requests within 24 hours, ensuring timely resolution
  • Escalate complex issues appropriately while maintaining ownership of follow-up
  • Support recruiting efforts including job postings and candidate coordination
  • Partner with recruiters and hiring managers to meet hiring timelines and contract staffing needs
  • Assist with onboarding readiness for new hires tied to contract awards
  • Administer tuition assistance and reimbursement programs in accordance with company policy
  • Review submissions for eligibility, accuracy, and compliance
  • Maintain proper documentation and tracking
  • Support day-to-day HR operations with a strong focus on efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist with policy interpretation and provide guidance to employees and managers
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and employee experience
  • Perform additional HR duties as assigned
