About The Position

PL Developments, also known as PLD, is a leading manufacturer, packager, and distributor of over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceutical products and consumer healthcare goods. SUMMARY The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for supporting daily processing operations by setting up, operating, and monitoring manufacturing equipment to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, and in compliance with batch record specifications. This role maintains accurate documentation, performs routine troubleshooting, ensures product quality, and upholds cleanliness and safety standards. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30am-5pm

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of generalist-level Human Resources experience, including recruitment, employee relations, and HRIS administration
  • Experience with HRIS systems; UKG and/or Oracle strongly preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal) required
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work outside regular business hours when necessary
  • Travel required to the Copiague, NY facility

Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment activities, including job postings, screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee relations matters; provide guidance to employees and managers in accordance with company policy and applicable laws
  • Maintain and update employee data in the HRIS with a high degree of accuracy (UKG and/or Oracle preferred)
  • Support HR compliance initiatives, including recordkeeping and reporting requirements
  • Assist with training initiatives, including coordination, tracking, and documentation
  • Interpret and apply federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and PFL
  • Participate in HRIS- and HR-related projects, including system implementations, upgrades, and process improvements
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive employee information
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and HR leadership
  • Own and manage employee onboarding processes, including coordinating and conducting new hire orientation and training
  • Serve as backup support to the HR Assistant as needed, including answering phones, filing, preparing correspondence, and providing general administrative support
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
