Purpose of Job: This position reports to the Human Resource (HR) Manager and then Vice President (VP) of Finance. HR Generalist is responsible for the administration and/or coordination of the day to day human resource functions. The HR generalist performs human resources-related duties may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, labor relations, affirmative action and employment equity programs. Minimum level of education / training required/certificates/licenses: This position prefers a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Human Resources, Psychology or a business field. Minimum experience required: 2-4 years of HR or related experience. If not formal training, years of experience increases.
