Requirements

  • BA/BS degree in related field preferred.
  • A minimum of two years experience working in human resources or related field.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations regarding employment recruitment and interviewing of potential and actual applicants.
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations regarding workers' compensation and leaves of absences.
  • Excellent organizational and written communication skills.
  • Must be able pass a criminal background check.
  • Must have a valid CA Driver's License and a clean driving record (within INALLIANCEs guidelines) from the Department of Motor Vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Performs recruitment and hiring activities including but not limited to posting positions, creating ads, pre-screening of employees, face-to-face interviews, and conducting or acquiring background checks, drug screens, and employment eligibility verifications.
  • Verbal presentation of pre-screened applicants to department heads to facilitate participant to staff matches.
  • Provide CHRO with data necessary for management reports regarding Human Resources activities, and ongoing information regarding staffing needs, and new avenues of staff recruitment.
  • Support the Leadership team with coaching and development of staff.
  • Provide an effective and dedicated HR advisory service to employees in relation to absence and health issues, conduct and capability, grievance matters, organizational change, and all other employee-relations matters.
  • Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary.
  • Maintains schedule for staff annual reviews.
  • Protected leave of absence co-administrator.
  • Employer Pull Notice & Driving privilege co-administrator.
  • HRIS co-administrator.
  • Reports, maintains, and monitors all workers' compensation case files; follows up on open cases.
  • Monitors employee eligibility for benefits plans. Reviews benefits with employees and processes enrollment, cancellation, or changes.
  • Organizes and manages annual open enrollment communications and election process.
  • Maintains and distributes a list of new and canceled employees under each benefit plan.
  • Participates in current recognition and engagement program committees.
  • Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems, including metrics, queries, and standard reports for ongoing agency requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned
