About The Position

A construction company is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join their team. The primary responsibility of this role is managing and maintaining the Applicant Tracking System (ATS). The HR Generalist will also support other areas within the HR department, including payroll, employee relations, and benefits. The ideal candidate must demonstrate close attention to detail, ensure compliance with company policies and standard labor laws, and maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality as a member of the Human Resources team.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of Human Resources experience preferred
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, One Drive
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be flexible, poised and able to manage multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must pass pre-employment screening including background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the company’s recruiting dashboard/ATS.
  • Post open positions on internal and external job boards and ensure posting remains current and compliant with company standards.
  • Monitor incoming applications, screen candidates, and assist hiring managers on next steps during the recruitment process.
  • Coordinate background checks, license checks when required, drug test processes, and orientation ensuring completion prior to hire and maintaining confidentiality of results.
  • Assist with continuous improvement of recruiting workflows and candidate experience.
  • Provides additional support in functional areas of Human Resources including but not limited to payroll, employee relations, personnel records, benefits, training and special projects.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.
