Faye is seeking a HR Generalist (W2-Contract) to step in for approximately five months while a valued team member is out on leave. In this role, you will partner closely with the VP of HR and key stakeholders in Recruiting, Finance, and Employee Experience to support core people operations throughout the employee lifecycle. You will play a key role in onboarding and offboarding, employee relations, HR systems and data accuracy, employee experience, and office administration. As a trusted and approachable point of contact for employees and managers, you will bring care, consistency, and sound judgment to every interaction while ensuring continuity and a great employee experience across our global, hybrid workforce. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about people, comfortable operating independently, and energized by the opportunity to make an immediate impact during a critical period of transition.

Requirements

  • Local to Richmond, Virginia and able to work onsite in a hybrid model
  • 3+ years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Manager, preferably supporting global teams.
  • Strong working knowledge of HR operations across the employee lifecycle, including federal and state compliance standards throughout the US.
  • Tech-savvy and quick to learn new tools, with hands-on experience using HRIS platforms (HiBob and/PEO experience strongly preferred).
  • Comfortable supporting managers with employee concerns and navigating sensitive conversations.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Proactive, solutions-oriented self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across time zones and cultures.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key participant in new hire orientation, leading welcome sessions and benefits overviews in partnership with Recruiting.
  • Support new hire onboarding by partnering with Recruiting and Finance to ensure employees are set up accurately and on time in all HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Partner with the VP of HR and Legal to execute terminations and offboarding processes as needed, ensuring compliance and proper documentation.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers by responding to HR-related questions and supporting employee relations matters.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers on employee relations topics, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Support HR operations related to policies, compliance, and benefits administration.
  • Maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and consistency across all HR practices.
  • Own the day-to-day employee experience for the RVA office.
  • Support employee experience needs for remote teams, including Growth, Insurance, and Comms & Brand.
  • Partner with the Employee Experience Manager to help initiate and support engagement initiatives for our global, hybrid workforce.
  • Manage employee data and lifecycle changes in our HRIS (HiBob), including hires, changes, and offboarding, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ensure employee Form I-9s are completed in our PEO (TriNet) within required compliance timelines.
  • Assist with office-related onboarding logistics, including workspace setup, access coordination, and first-day readiness.
  • Support day-to-day administrative needs for the RVA office, including processing incoming and outgoing mail and partnering with vendors as needed.
  • Help maintain a welcoming, functional office environment by organizing shared spaces and keeping the kitchen stocked with office essentials and snacks.
