About The Position

The HR Coordinator provides essential administrative and operational support to the Human Resources team of a 24/7 organ transportation logistics company with a workforce spanning more than 30 states. This role supports high-volume HR processes including onboarding and offboarding administration, HR compliance tracking, employee communications, and training coordination. This position plays an important role in maintaining consistent HR processes and supporting employees and managers across multiple operational locations. The role operates with a high degree of independence in managing recurring HR workflows and ensuring core HR operations run smoothly across a distributed workforce.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources or related field
  • 3+ years of HR experience with a focus on HR operations, onboarding administration, or HR compliance
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage high-volume onboarding and multi-state HR processes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HRIS systems (Dayforce preferred)
  • Familiarity with multi-state employment laws and HR compliance practices
  • Experience supporting a distributed workforce

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a first-line HR contact for employees across the organization and respond to HR inquiries.
  • Assist employees with Dayforce access and basic HRIS functionality, routing more complex issues to HR Operations or HRIS resources as appropriate.
  • Coordinate high-volume onboarding across 30+ states, including background checks and required screenings.
  • Ensure completion and proper documentation of I-9 requirements and issue required employment notices.
  • Support voluntary and involuntary separation processes and maintain accurate HR system updates.
  • Assist with administration of HR compliance programs including random drug testing and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) reviews.
  • Maintain multi-state compliance calendars and track regulatory deadlines.
  • Track unemployment claims and response timelines.
  • Maintain HR SOPs, checklists, and operational documentation while identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  • Maintain audit-ready personnel files and support periodic compliance reviews.
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities and events that support company culture.
  • Support additional HR initiatives and responsibilities as business needs evolve.
