About The Position

The HR Coordinator provides comprehensive human resources support in the areas of employee relations, complaint investigation and resolution, personnel management, benefits administration, and safety. This position shares responsibility for ensuring compliance with federal/state/local employment law and reporting requirements. This position will also assist in building and maintaining positive working relationships between Human Resources and Store Operations and Business Office employees.

Requirements

  • Coordinate with the human resources team to administer various human resource plans and procedures, unemployment hearings, benefits, and personnel management.
  • Exercise judgment and discretion in assisting managers with policy questions and employee relations matters. Ensure consistent application and interpretation of company employment policies and practices.
  • Conduct investigations of personnel complaints or issues and respond or escalate as appropriate. Document findings and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Create documentation and follow-up on cases related to alcohol and tobacco stings, ensuring compliance with company policy and regulations while working with federal, state, and local agencies.
  • Work closely with the human resources management team in the development and implementation of HR strategies.
  • Update and maintain policies, employee handbook, manuals, forms, and communication materials to ensure alignment with corporate goals, as well as federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws and regulations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with store, distribution center, and business office management to support a high level of customer satisfaction and employee engagement.
  • Assist in preparation and evaluation of various human resource reports and maintain Human Resources Information System records, including Performance Management.
  • Respond to employee and management inquiries in a timely, professional, and solution-oriented manner.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with all employment records and human resources related information.
