About The Position

FNF Construction is currently hiring for a Human Resources Coordinator (Bilingual in Spanish) in their Tempe, AZ office. This role will coordinate the daily activities and ongoing file maintenance associated with the company-wide new hires, rehires, and the Department of Transportation's employment process for any field personnel who require a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and/or Qualification file. This role is based in the Tempe office each weekday. Requirements

  • Bi-lingual candidates, who are skilled in Spanish translation for both verbal and written employee communications, are strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the general policies and practices of construction/heavy highway companies. Knowledge of various types of construction equipment and the licensure necessary for their operation.
  • General computer and Database management skills.
  • Current knowledge of FLSA, COBRA, FMLA, HIPAA, and ADA legislation
  • Ability to provide technical guidance and training to end users relative to the FNF hiring process.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information
  • General knowledge in the field of Human Resources and Employee Benefits.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of personnel in a diverse work community.
  • Top-notch organizational and prioritization skills are a must.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with varying priority levels in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment while maintaining accuracy and efficiency
  • Able to complete an Excel skills-assessment satisfactorily
  • Successful completion of the E-Verify Online Tutorial and its related tests
  • 2 - 3 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Must have reliable and available transportation.
  • Must possess a valid Arizona Driver’s License.
  • Thorough understanding of FNF’s core business capabilities.
  • Demonstrate capability of managing projects with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of employees both in group settings and one-on-one meetings or interviews.
  • Position is 100% on site at the FNF Corporate Office – no remote work is available for this position

Responsibilities

  • Timely processing of employees through the FNF New Hire and Rehire Process. Ensure that all new hires and rehires have applied online.
  • Maintain the integrity of the I-9 process by utilizing the “E-Verify System”. Ensure new hires and rehires are filling out the correct forms and providing proper ID and are authorized to be employed. Purge I-9s while utilizing USCIS guidelines relative to record retention.
  • Coordinate necessary paperwork with all New Hires and Rehires including sending them for a Pre-Employment drug test and notifying the necessary laboratory.
  • Utilize appropriate State New Hire reporting in a timely manner.
  • Communicate with applicants and field management relative to job postings; works closely with the MasTec Recruitment team to create and track job postings.
  • Data entry and tracking of evaluations, promotions, demotions, and terminations.
  • Assists in the coordination of the DOT pre-employment process for all CDL drivers and any employees requiring a Qualification File be maintained, to include: MVR Reports, PSP Reports, Drug and Alcohol testing (new hire and randoms), Safety Training, and completion of DOT Qualification File paperwork.
  • Create and maintain all personnel and CDL files in compliance with Federal, State and or DOT guidelines. Set up all DOT physicals and verify that the physician is in the National Registry Database.
  • Work closely with the Equipment Services Department and JJ Keller to ensure compliance relative to the CDL Program, including all recordkeeping requirements to remain in compliance with FNF, State, and Federal guidelines.
  • Work with Risk Management Department relative to approval for new CDL drivers and obtains the PSP Driver Reports, Motor Vehicle Reports and Pre-employment DOT drug and DOT alcohol testing.
  • Respond via email or formal letter to all FNF web inquiries regarding job openings. Follow up with active employees seeking advancement opportunities.
  • Attend periodic on-going training as it pertains to the CDL Program, E-Verify or Human Resource topics. Maintain FNF HR representation at ARPA (AZ Rock Products Assoc. and the AGC (Association of General Contractors)
  • Provide Front Desk Receptionist back-up relief, as scheduled.
  • DOT/General Employment Verifications and employee requests for letters of employment utilizing the FNF Internal policy on what information is released and to whom.
  • Code and balance invoices monthly for pre-employment vendors, including JJ Keller.
  • Assist the HR Generalist with monthly preparations for the FNF Healthy Workshops, as it relates to food orders, signage and attendance tracking.
  • Track usage of ancillary employee programs, as requested, by HR Generalist.
  • Order, stock, and fill a vending machine and any other special projects, as assigned
