For more information on Dexter Magnetic Technologies, please visit: https://www.dextermag.com/ Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting HR-related administrative and entry level generalist duties that contribute to employee engagement, benefits, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding, our temporary workforce, legal compliance, and documentation.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of HR principles and employment-related laws through education or employment

  • Communication – can clearly and succinctly send a message in a variety of communication settings and styles. Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.   • HR Expertise – always learning about the profession of HR and continuously keeping abreast of new trends, laws, and requirements.
  • Detail orientation – does work that is error free the first time. Checks own work to ensure content is accurate, grammatically correct and visually appealing. Verifies the work of others when data concerns employment actions.
  • Problem solving skills uses rigorous logic and methods to solve problems producing effective solutions to problem statements.
  • Excellent time management skills: concentrating effort on priorities and overall planning, awareness, and response to what is due now, short- and long-term.
  • Strong computing skills: i.e., HRIS (UltiPro), Power Point, Excel, and technical researching.
  • Ability to initiate and complete multiple concurrent projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 1 year of experience working in a human resources department or internships while in school, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the HR Team; maintain job descriptions, support the talent acquisition process, orientation and on-boarding processes, and monthly metric reporting.
  • Manage day-to-day aspects of the benefit programs, monthly billing, enrollments, auditing the provider sites, and annual open enrollment
  • Review payroll for accuracy and approve and route to Finance.
  • Submit hours for temporary workers to the agencies
  • Maintain legal compliance, creating and submitting reports in a timely manner, including by not limited to: EEO-1, VETS, AAP, ACA, OSHA, HR File compliance (including I-9s)
  • Perform administrative tasks for the LMS - Update/add employee or dealer information into our on-line training system
  • Maintain the HRIS system (UltiPro). Responsible for data entry and maintenance of records in a paperless environment, ensuring data accuracy through self-audits and reports
  • FMLA and leave administration
  • Handle unemployment claims
  • Handle worker’s compensation claims/cases
  • Expand employee engagement through supporting company events and other engagement programs and activities.
  • Other duties as required
