About The Position

The Human Resources Coordinator will provide coordination efforts and assistance in the areas of policy compliance, recruitment, onboarding, and records management. This position manages employee records and supports staffing and recruitment processes by facilitating internal job postings, coordinating recruitment advertising, screening applications, scheduling interviews, conducting reference checks, extending offers of employment, and ensuring completion of onboarding documentation. The role also provides administrative support involving recruitment activities and daily clerical tasks, including maintaining personnel and medical files, preparing new hire packets, assisting with orientation, and ensuring smooth execution of HR procedures. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms—especially iCIMS—is essential. The ideal candidate will bring prior HR experience, strong interpersonal and organizational abilities, and a proven track record of collaborating across departments to achieve results. Oak Plains Academy (a UHS Company) is a comprehensive and highly structured 98-bed residential treatment program offering psychiatric residential treatment services to adolescents, struggling with emotional and behavioral issues. Residents receive an individualized treatment plan, geared to meet their personal needs. A professional team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, therapists, nurses, and teachers serve hundreds of children and adolescents annually with the common goal of treating and healing trauma and building resiliency in the residents we serve. Located on 20 acres of rolling hills in a rural setting, about 45 minutes from Nashville, Tennessee, Oak Plains Academy campus features a full-size gymnasium, dining hall, separate academic building, and four dormitories. Requirements

  • Associate's degree with one to three years of Human Resources Coordinator experience.
  • Experience mediating employee concerns and exercising sound professional judgment to make recommendations in the best interest of the facility and its employees required.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required.
  • Must possess superb problem solving and multi tasking skills with effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Must have the skill set to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Excellent computer skills required. Must be proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook applications.
  • 21 years of age, with a valid driver's license.
  • Flexible schedule

Nice To Haves

  • Full cycle recruiter experience, including on-boarding new employees preferred, healthcare experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission and other federal, state and local laws and regulations that govern healthcare preferred.
