About The Position

Job Description Expected Experience & Required Skills: Payroll Processing: Lead all aspects of and runs the end-to-end payroll process, including collecting timesheets, verifying data, and ensuring timely and accurate payroll submissions. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations. Respond to payroll inquiries from employees and resolve issues promptly. Prepare and maintain records of earnings, deductions, and other payroll-related reports. Support in preparing and filing payroll tax reports and other related documentation. HR Support: Assist in recruitment processes, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, conducting initial candidate screenings, and scheduling interviews. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the Workday system. Assist with the onboarding process for new employees, including preparing offer letters, benefits enrollment, and introducing company policies. Provide general HR support for employee relations and training coordination. Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to company policies, legal requirements, and best practices related to payroll, HR processes, and documentation. Assist in preparing reports for internal and external audits, maintaining compliance with payroll, benefits, and other HR-related regulations. General Administration: Provide administrative support for HR-related initiatives and employee programs. Assist with employee engagement activities and wellness programs. Work Environment & Schedule: This position is considered an office role in a Manufacturing plant environment. Overtime and weekend work required as dictated by business needs. You may be required to switch schedules or shifts as the need arises. Must wear the following PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): bump cap/hard hat, safety glasses, slip resistant shoes, ear plugs when walking the plant floor. Physical Requirements: Physical demands include but not limited to: Occasional- upright stance, recumbent stance, prostrate stance, traversal of workplace, transporting heavy objects, pushing, pulling, scaling heights, accessing high objects, accessing low objects, keyboard or text input, balancing, fine movement, repetitive motion Frequent sitting Education and Experience: Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). Demonstrable experience in HR coordination with a focus on payroll processing (minimum of 1-2 years). Minimum 1 year working in a Union Environment Knowledge of payroll systems and relevant payroll legislation (e.g., FLSA, tax withholding, and benefits regulations). Proficiency with HRIS and payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Dayforce, or similar systems). Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Excellent communication, social skills, and ability to work effectively with employees at all levels. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle payroll discrepancies efficiently. Certification in payroll processing (e.g., Certified Payroll Professional - CPP) is a plus. Experience with employee benefits administration. Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing multiple tasks simultaneously. Requirements
