About The Position

This position is responsible for managing key activities across the employee lifecycle, serving as a face-to-face contact person. In addition to employee relations, the role assists with maintaining the ADP Timekeeping/HRIS System as well as administering business travel coordination in compliance with company policies.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or equivalant work experience
  • 1 to 2 years od Administrative experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of Employee Relations experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of CA Labor and Employment Law required.
  • 3 to 5 years of prior investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Input and maintain data in HRIS Systems, including ADP and Concur.
  • Maintain knowledge of timekeeping system.
  • Provide eTime Training to users and managers.
  • Ensures accuracy in both ADP and e-time Systems for payroll including follow up to ensure timecards are signed and approved biweekly.
  • Tracks Corrective Actions to ensure they are being administered according to policy and the attendance points are accurate in the e-time system.
  • Follows up with Supervisors to ensure they are completed timely.
  • Responsible for all of CA legal reporting (i.e. meal and rest break penalties, day of rest waivers, etc.)
  • Point of contact for ESS (shopping carts) for HR Department.
  • Coordinate I-9 Process
  • Maintains active and termed employee personnel files.
  • Process terminations.
  • Be available to respond to employees questions re: payroll, attendance points benefits, etc.
  • Coordinates, tracks, and maintains documentation related to employee personnel files in ADP (i.e. corrective actions, performance reviews, job descriptions, day of rest waivers, I9 eligibility documents, training documents, etc.).
  • Maintain and update ADP Time and Attendance system with wage rates for flexible work force and punches.
  • Purchase and maintain supplies for office.
  • Participate and/or manage HR programs and events throughout the year.
  • Provides support for all training and learning activities.
  • Prepare orientation plans, tracks completion, follows up on deadlines, and uploads to system once completed.
  • Own and coordinate new hire orientation / ITP management.
  • Enforce HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and federal laws.
  • Conduct employee relation activities such as grievances, investigations and disciplinary action.
  • Support the administrative processing for foreign business travelers.
  • Act as a leadership partner for plant management: support in daily leadership business and advise in topics along the employee lifecycle, taking into account legal and corporate guidelines.
  • Evaluate situations objectively to provide HR counsel and guidance to all levels of employees including resolving complaints, questions, etc., within the limits of established policy or help determine most equitable solution when no policy is appropriate.
  • Review and resolve complex employee matters, cooperate and coordinate between internal (ex: HR Manager, HR Director, legal department) and external stakeholders (ex: legal counsel).
