About The Position

Zonda provides data-driven housing market solutions to the homebuilding industry. From builders to building product manufacturers, mortgage clients and multifamily executives, we work together with our customers to streamline access to housing data to empower smarter decisions. As a leading brand in residential construction, our company stands behind a mission to advance the home building industry, because we believe better homes mean better lives and stronger communities. Together, we’re building the future of housing. This is not a typical entry-level HR job where you just file paperwork. You’ll be the engine behind many of our HR programs, helping roll out systems, support employees, improve processes, and bring energy to our Austin office. You’ll work closely with leaders across the company and get exposure to all areas of HR: employee experience, systems, compliance, engagement, analytics, and learning & development. You’ll also be our in-office HR presence in Austin! You’ll be the person employees know they can come to for help, guidance, or a quick question. If you love organizing chaos, improving how things work, and being the person who “makes things happen,” this role is for you.

Requirements

  • Are highly organized and love checklists, structure, and follow-through
  • Bring high energy and a positive, can-do attitude to your work and team interactions
  • Have grit — you stay persistent, figure things out, and don’t give up when something is new or challenging
  • Enjoy working with systems, data, and documentation
  • Can juggle multiple priorities without dropping details
  • Communicate clearly and comfortably with all levels of employees
  • Handle confidential information professionally
  • Take initiative and don’t wait to be told what to do
  • Like solving problems and improving how things work
  • Are curious, eager to learn, and want to grow quickly into a well-rounded HR professional
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • No prior HR experience required, we will teach you. We just can’t teach motivation.

Responsibilities

  • Help launch and support HR systems (performance reviews, learning platforms, HR tools), including testing, training guides, and employee communications
  • Audit HR data and build workflows, SOPs, and policies to make processes smoother and smarter
  • Support performance review cycles, career pathing, and learning & development programs
  • Be the go-to HR contact in the Austin office and help create a great employee experience
  • Plan engagement activities and events (team events, celebrations, office initiatives, virtual events)
  • Assist with onboarding, offboarding, HR compliance, and employee questions
  • Maintain HR trackers, dashboards, and reports
