About The Position

Defense Holdings, Inc. (DHi) is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Compliance Coordinator to ensure company policies and practices adhere to federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as government contracting requirements. The ideal candidate will maintain compliance records, assist with audits, and support HR operations while ensuring high standards of integrity and confidentiality. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information in a fast-paced, government contracting environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of HR, compliance, or related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local employment regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance may be required.

Nice To Haves

  • HR compliance certifications (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, or equivalent).
  • Experience in government contracting or defense-related programs.
  • Knowledge of multi-state HR operations and federal contractor reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Assist in updating and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and organized compliance records.
  • Support HR audits and prepare required documentation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding policies and compliance-related questions.
  • Assist HR leadership with employee relations documentation and compliance tracking.
  • Support affirmative action and EEO reporting requirements.
  • Maintain compliance-related data in HRIS and other internal systems.
  • Generate compliance reports for HR and leadership review.
  • Assist in workforce data analysis related to compliance metrics.
  • Work closely with HR, payroll, and operations teams to ensure policies are applied consistently.
  • Support internal initiatives to strengthen HR compliance practices.
