As a HR Compensation Intern at Stewart, you will have access to work on real-world projects, gain insights from mentors and leaders throughout the organization, and have the opportunity to participate in social and community events to enhance the experience – ultimately providing you with tools to support your transition from college to professional life. Our Summer internship program runs June 1 – August 7, 2026 (Hybrid 2-3 days IN-OFFICE)

Requirements

  • Be currently pursing a bachelor’s or master’s level degree program in Human Resources, Business, Business Management, Finance, Analytics, or a related field
  • Be able to fulfill the duties of the role in a hybrid environment for the duration of the 10-week program, located in Houston, TX
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment and have the passion and energy to leave your mark
  • Strong interest in Compensation, Total Rewards, or people analytics
  • Comfortable working with data; Excel skills required
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple priorities
  • Curious, creative, and excited to learn in a fast-paced HR environment
  • Have the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with a wide variety of stakeholders across the organization
  • Be adept at handling a changing workload and intaking a high volume of information
  • Have a passion for seeking out process enhancements or solutions and simultaneously delivering on your current project workload
  • Be results-oriented, innovative, collaborative, analytical, hands-on, inquisitive, a quick learner, proactive, and have excellent communications skills (both written and verbal)
  • Be extremely organized and attentive to detail while still being able to effectively handle multi-faceted tasks
  • Be available to complete the entire internship program as defined by the communicated program start and end dates
  • Be fluent in oral and written English
  • Be eligible to legally work in the country in which you are applying, without company sponsorship or time restrictions.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze real Compensation and Recognition data to uncover trends and insights
  • Support Recognition and Service Award programs from analysis through recommendation
  • Research emerging recognition and total rewards trends and share fresh ideas
  • Build Excel summaries and help create presentations for HR and business leaders
  • Complete a capstone project proposing one creative, data-driven recognition enhancement
