About The Position

Assists in the daily functions of the HR- compensation and benefits unit including compensation, benefits, employee leave, Worker's compensation, missionary on-boarding, enforcing company policies and practices. Follows specific instructions and perform clerical work using established routines. Applies limited analysis and problem-solving in performing job duties.

Requirements

  • Interest in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work with data accurately
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Reliable, dependable, and able to manage multiple tasks
  • 3 Months of General Work Experience
  • Typical office environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist with processing employee benefits, including health and wellness plans, leaves of absence, short- and long-term disability, workers’ compensation, TDI, retirement plans, one-time payments, and onboarding for senior missionaries.
  • Maintain accurate records, and help make sure benefits are handled according to current laws and company policies.
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for benefits-related events such as Ho‘omaika‘i, Health & Benefits Fair, Retirement Fair, and Health & Wellness programs.
  • Help prepare and update reports, including benefits cost analysis reports for temporary employees who become benefits-eligible
  • Assist in preparing benefit overview materials for prospective faculty and support timely enrollment of new hires.
  • Assist in responding to employee inquiries and help explain benefit options in clear, easy-to-understand terms, escalating complex questions as needed.
  • Process monthly insurance billings, review codes and payments for accuracy, and assist in resolving discrepancies
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and organizational information
  • Support additional HR projects and administrative duties as assigned
