About The Position

The HR Business Partner will provide day-to-day HR operational support across MAX's multi-state organization. This is a fixed-term, temporary position created to cover a leave of absence for an existing employee. This role will serve as a trusted advisor to employees and leaders, handling employee relations, performance management support, onboarding/offboarding coordination, and ensuring continuity of HR services. Reports to the Director of Human Resources. Duration of role is approximatley 4 months. $90,000 - $100,000 a year

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive HR Business Partner experience, preferably in healthcare or multi-site organizations
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and providing guidance on sensitive employee matters
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and HR analytics
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build credibility and trust with employees and leaders at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • Professional demeanor with high standards for confidentiality and discretion

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations inquiries, providing guidance on company policies, procedures, and employment law compliance
  • Conduct employee relations investigations, document findings, and recommend appropriate resolutions in partnership with the HR Director
  • Support managers with conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and performance-related conversations
  • Assist in maintaining and communicating HR policies to ensure consistency across all locations
  • Partner with managers to facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-year check-ins, and annual reviews
  • Provide coaching to leaders on delivering feedback, conducting difficult conversations, and implementing performance improvement plans
  • Track performance management activities and deadlines to ensure timely completion
  • Serve as a resource for employees with questions about benefits enrollment, leave of absence requests, and related policies
  • Process leave of absence requests and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations
  • Coordinate with benefits providers as needed to resolve employee inquiries
  • Generate HR reports and track key metrics as requested by the HR Director
  • Ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements and data privacy standards
  • Provide HR support to field locations through regular communication and occasional site visits
  • Assist with HR aspects of practice integrations as new locations join the organization
  • Build relationships with practice administrators and clinical leaders
