About The Position

We’re looking for a proactive, people‑focused HR Business Partner to support our U.S. operations and partner closely with managers to drive business success. In this role, you’ll provide practical, operational, and hands‑on HR guidance while supporting day‑to‑day activities, helping create an engaging and compliant workplace. This position covers a wide range of HR responsibilities—from recruitment and onboarding to benefits administration, employee relations, and compliance reporting (including ACA):

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and support multiple U.S. locations.

Nice To Haves

  • SHRM certification
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now (a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Lead full‑cycle recruitment and onboarding for U.S.-based roles, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience.
  • Partner with managers to provide guidance on HR best practices, performance management, coaching, and workforce planning.
  • Support employee relations, conduct investigations when needed, and manage all steps of the termination process.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records, ensuring adherence to federal and state regulations.
  • Prepare HR documentation, including employment agreements, policy letters, and other HR‑related communications.
  • Administer employee benefits programs (health, retirement, etc.) and support employees with benefit‑related questions.
  • Oversee ACA compliance, including annual reporting and required submissions.
  • Contribute to health & safety initiatives and support internal audits to ensure a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Work closely with teams in the U.S., while collaborating with HR leaders at our Canadian headquarters.
