The HR Business Partner (HRBP) II serves as a trusted advisor to senior management and business leaders by providing expert guidance and support on all HR-related matters. This role is focused on driving talent management, organizational development, employee relations, workforce planning, and cultural transformation. The Senior HRBP works closely with business units to ensure that HR strategies and initiatives effectively support business objectives, improve operational performance, and foster a positive and high-performing work culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Applied Communication, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field of study.
  • Five (5) years of demonstrated accomplishment in human resource or operational disciplines, preferably including compensation practices, workforce planning, forecasting & budgeting, organizational diagnosis, employee relations, operational efficiency, performance management, employee engagement, and respective federal and state employment laws.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree and three (3) years of demonstrated accomplishment in the above disciplines.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Five (5) years of experience is preferred, particularly in an Academic Medical Center setting.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses the organization's capabilities, identifies competency and talent gaps, and ensures the development of people resources to support talent assessment and succession planning.
  • Designs and implements core HR team process documents
  • Analyzes trends and metrics (i.e., turnover, vacancy rates, and cost per hire) in partnership with the Office of Human Resources' Centers of Excellence to drive organizational capability and human capital readiness.
  • Ensures UAMS meets compliance and accreditation standards for internal and external regulatory agencies.
  • Supports departmental leadership on faculty-related matters, including employee relations, policy administration, and compliance.
  • Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure that training objectives are met.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
