About The Position

The Los Angeles office of Willkie Farr & Gallagher is looking for a HR & Benefits Intern to support our Talent Management Department. Willkie is an elite international law firm of approximately 1,300 lawyers located in 16offices in six countries. The HR & Benefits Intern will work closely with the HR & Benefits Department team to support the open enrollment process, staff events and general HR activities. The ideal candidate will be intellectually curious and have the ability to adapt to changing priorities, and maintain confidential information at all times. Additionally, candidates will have strong computer skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. This a great opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a law firm environment. Candidates should be willing to work in office three days a week preferably Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Requirements

  • Must be in the process of completing an associates, undergraduate degree.
  • Ability to work year-round.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to have strong organizational and time management while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to build interpersonal relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous office experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Support with several routine administrative tasks such as but not limited to:
  • Support various aspects of annual Open Enrollment preparation.
  • Gathering and drafting of pertinent open enrollment and benefits communications.
  • Assist with presenting Staff benefits orientation.
  • Assist in coordinating onsite wellness and benefits events/activities.
  • Maintaining Covid vaccination records for CA personnel.
  • Provide exceptional administrative support to attorneys and staff while maintaining communication with attorneys, staff and managers.
  • Work on department specific projects as assigned by your manager.
  • Perform additonal tasks, as needed.
