About The Position

Nucor Steel Sedalia is seeking a dynamic candidate for the HR Associate position. The HR Associate will assist with new hire orientation, benefits, weekly processing of payroll - including all tax reports, quarterly and year end filings and payroll reports. Administrative duties include answering a multiline phone system, mail distribution, greeting visitors, ordering and stocking supplies, planning of company sponsored programs/projects/events and performing clerical and data entry to support the division. Additional duties include but are not limited to production bonus calculations and reports, managing uniforms, coordinating and scheduling training and site tours, and tracking data across various systems to support the team. A fast-paced, self-starter with a positive attitude is paramount to success in this role. Must be willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • Cannot have relatives working at Nucor Steel Sedalia
  • Knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree in HR or business-related field or 2 years of work experience in an HR capacity
  • Knowledge of SAP/SuccessFactors
  • Payroll Experience for 100 or more teammates
