Harmony Gardens is a welcoming senior care community where your skills are valued and make an impact! We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Human Resources Associate to join our team. As the HR Associate, you will play a critical role in managing the day-to-day operations of HR at our campus. This position is in-person located on-site at our Maplewood senior living campus.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of HR, benefits and payroll experience preferred.
  • Must have knowledge of HR laws and processes.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems, UKG Dimensions experience preferred.
  • Excellent attention to detail, numerical abilities and computer skills.
  • Positive communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and demonstrate flexibility.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Team player who has a passion for elder care and adapts quickly to changing situations.

Responsibilities

  • Be the lead on interviewing candidates and sending out job offers.
  • Responsible for the onboarding processes for new hires including background checks, references, license verifications and communication with new hires.
  • Responsible for scheduling and assisting with new hire orientation.
  • Answers employee questions regarding HR, benefits, payroll and leave of absence.
  • Process new hire and termination paperwork.
  • Coordinate benefits and process enrollments, changes, and terminations for all benefit plans in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Work with staff and managers to administer HR policies (i.e. leave of absence, workers compensation, OSHA, pay policies) and employee retention.
  • Manage unemployment claims.
  • Records, maintain, and update employee information in payroll/HRIS system and employee files.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day payroll related items and processes bi-weekly payroll.
  • Other duties as assigned.
