Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant experience -OR-
  • AA or higher and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and complete work on-time and accurately.
  • Ability to protect and keep personally identifiable information (PII) and other information confidential.
  • A positive demeanor, strong communication skills, and keen attention to detail with the demonstrated ability to team well and communicate effectively with others.

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • Human Resources administrative work experience.
  • Experience in a shared services environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Processes HR related transactions with accuracy by performing tasks such as collecting required information/documentation as needed from employees, managers, and/or others in HR; performing data entry; sending documents and correspondence; and other related tasks.
  • Responds to phone, chat and email inquiries from staff and managers at all levels.
  • Ensures that pertinent information is gathered prior to providing a response.
  • Resolves questions and issues by accessing information in multiple systems including PeopleSoft and other internal systems.
  • Escalates customer inquiries to Tier 2 Subject Matter Experts (SME) and/or Centers of Expertise when specific, in-depth functional knowledge is required.
  • Follows desktop procedures and understanding of PNNL policies.
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.
