About The Position

Are you passionate about developing people, strengthening workplace culture, and supporting employees throughout their career journey? We are looking for an HR & Training Generalist to join our Lincoln NE team and play a key role in shaping both employee development and core HR operations. In this unique dual-role position, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Training and the SVP of HR to deliver high‑impact training programs while supporting day-to-day HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and employee experience initiatives. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Training, HR, education, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of general HR experience (required).
  • 2+ years of experience delivering or designing training programs (required).

Nice To Haves

  • PHR or SHRM‑CP certification is a plus.
  • Strong customer service mindset and a collaborative working style.
  • Understanding of employment laws (EEO, FLSA, FMLA, etc.).
  • Experience with HRIS systems such as ADP Workforce Now.
  • Excellent organizational skills, sound judgment, and strong communication abilities.
  • Experience designing training programs in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms or e‑learning authoring tools.

Responsibilities

  • Identify training needs and create engaging in‑person, virtual, and e‑learning programs.
  • Lead new‑hire orientation and continuously improve training effectiveness.
  • Support broader learning and development initiatives across the organization.
  • Assist with job postings, resume reviews, and initial interviews.
  • Coordinate background checks and support new‑hire onboarding activities.
  • Manage offboarding processes and maintain accurate HRIS and employee records.
  • Support employee relations, performance processes, and recognition programs.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance in all HR practices.
