The selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of activities including, but not limited to: Planning and coordinating major and minor company events including retreats, the annual holiday party and summer picnic, monthly snack breaks, project happy hours, annual cookie contest, adopt-a-block events, and in-office lunches. Retreat preparation will include identifying and carrying out team-building activities. Office Manager – Logistics including ordering supplies, work anniversary awards, and other items Managing employment engagement surveys Completing expense reports Monitoring in office attendance Organizing materials in the office and light tidying Maintain spreadsheets for desk reservations, in Philadelphia and D.C. offices Note-taking for meetings when requested. People and Culture Coordinator for multiple offices implementing employee activities such as wellness competitions Assisting in the onboarding and off-boarding processes – e.g., setting up onboarding sessions, ordering materials for new hires, organizing farewell messages. Assisting as requested in the recruiting and hiring process by scheduling interviews, calling references, and sending notification emails, entering hire information. When the candidate has available time, they may be invited to contribute to other initiatives. While this is a hybrid in-office/work from home position, the selected candidate must live in or relocate to the Washington, DC region within commuting proximity to downtown. This position requires three in-office days per week, primarily Tuesday through Thursday. Foursquare ITP is a transportation planning firm based in Washington, DC that offers our clients expertise in many aspects of transit planning, regional and corridor transportation planning, multimodal planning, and transportation demand management. Qualifications The HR Coordinator must be a highly organized, detail-oriented, motivated self-starter who enjoys working and collaborating with others. This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or equivalent relevant experience. The preferred candidate will have course work or training in HR or related topics. The successful candidate will be able to work in a flexible and fast-paced environment with a dynamic workflow and has experience prioritizing a variety of tasks. The ideal candidate will show a demonstrated interest in a career in human resource management. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required. The selected candidate will be expected to learn how to use other software programs as needed and have the ability to do some independent troubleshooting. On-the-job and/or formal training will be provided to assist the selected candidate to grow professionally. The selected candidate must have a commitment to ongoing professional growth and be willing to play an active role in developing new and creative strategies to enhance the company’s culture. The selected candidate must be trustworthy with sensitive and confidential information.
