About The Position

We’re searching for a dynamic HR Administrator – Systems & Operations who can care for the team member experience while stewarding the systems that support it. This role is intentionally balanced: ~50% focused on owning and optimizing our HRIS ecosystem (including a potential transition from Paycom to a new platform) ~50% dedicated to hands-on HR generalist and operational support for team members and managers across the organization You’ll help ensure our HR systems run smoothly, our processes stay strong, and our team members feel supported every step of the way. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
  • 2–4 years of combined HR experience, including hands-on HRIS administration and generalist/operations support
  • Experience balancing technical system ownership with team member-facing responsibilities
  • Exposure to payroll, benefits, onboarding, compliance, and HR support workflows
  • Proficiency in HRIS configuration, reporting, payroll/benefits administration, and self-service tools
  • Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, data manipulation)
  • Familiarity with integrations, APIs, reporting tools; SQL is a plus
  • Solid understanding of HR operations: payroll, benefits, recruiting, compliance, performance, team member relations
  • Knowledge of payroll/tax fundamentals, benefits billing reconciliation, employment law, and data privacy
  • Strong attention to detail and discretion with confidential information
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to manage projects and transitions effectively
  • Clear, kind communicator who can explain technical concepts simply
  • Service-oriented, proactive, and supportive approach to team member needs
  • Highly organized with strong time management across systems and people priorities
  • Collaborative, adaptable team player who works well cross-functionally

Nice To Haves

  • HRIS certifications (Paycom, Workday, SHRM, etc.)
  • Experience in high-growth or multi-state organizations
  • Background in HR generalist work, RFP management, or operational process improvement

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain our HRIS platform currently Paycom (but experience with similar platforms a plus: i.e. Paylocity, BambooHR, Paycor, Rippling, Workday, ADP, BambooHR, UKG, etc.) across payroll, benefits, onboarding, talent modules, and self-service
  • Manage workflows, automation rules, custom fields, security roles, and permissions
  • Oversee system upgrades, feature rollouts, patches, and enhancements
  • Maintain integrations with vendor platforms (benefits carriers, time/attendance, payroll partners, etc.)
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity, governance, and privacy compliance
  • Build and maintain reporting, dashboards, and analytics to support business insights (headcount, turnover, trends)
  • Support payroll accuracy through validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting
  • Review benefits billing, vendor invoices, HR expenses, and enrollment/headcount reconciliation
  • Serve as the primary liaison with HRIS vendors and support teams
  • Participate in RFP processes, vendor evaluation, and selection for potential HRIS transitions
  • Lead or support implementation efforts, including migration, testing, and rollout when needed
  • Respond to team member and manager questions regarding HR policies, benefits, payroll, leave, and HRIS self-service
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes, including documentation and orientation coordination
  • Assist with benefits enrollment, open enrollment, changes, and team member education
  • Provide recruiting operations support as needed (job postings, interview scheduling, offer preparation)
  • Support performance cycle administration (goal reminders, documentation, review coordination)
  • Assist with compliance activities (I-9 verification, EEO reporting, policy acknowledgments, employment verifications)
  • Support basic team member relations intake, documentation, and escalation pathways
  • Handle ad-hoc HR administrative needs, audit preparation, correspondence, and leadership reporting
  • Provide training and support for managers and team members using HR systems and processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows across both systems and HR operations
  • Partner closely with IT, Payroll, Finance, and HR leadership on integrations, vendor evaluations, and data-driven decision-making
  • Contribute to HR initiatives and change management during system transitions and organizational growth
