About The Position

Advent seeks a mission-driven Mechanic to join our team in Panama City, FL. In this role, you will support aviation type maintenance and repair activities of the U.S. Navy's Landing Craft, Air Cushion Ship-to-Shore Connector (LCAC SSC) and legacy LCAC Weapon System fleet at NSWC Panama City, FL . This is an onsite position. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the safety, reliability, and operational success of aircraft systems in support of our national security objectives. As part of the Hover Craft Maintenance Team, you will troubleshoot, repair, and install new and replacement mechanical components, ensuring the highest level of operational support for vital naval assets.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in aviation or LCAC related maintenance, aircraft structures, powerplants, or systems
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools, maintenance tracking systems, and test equipment.
  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical systems, or hydraulic systems.
  • Basic understanding of common hand tools and precision measuring instruments such as: Torque Wrench, Feeler Gauge, Micrometer, etc
  • Experience interpreting written instructions and specifications.
  • U.S. Citizenship required and an active Secret security clearance or ability to get an Interim Secret before starting
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 Lbs.
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
  • Work in confined/restricted spaces.
  • Climb and descend ladders.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on military aircraft platforms.
  • Familiarity with DoD maintenance practices and reporting systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse technical team.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on aircraft systems and components.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Use technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to accurately assess and resolve system issues.
  • Document all maintenance actions in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
  • Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and supply personnel to ensure aircraft availability and mission readiness.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe and orderly condition.
  • Follow all applicable technical data, safety regulations, and quality standards.
  • Support operational checks, functional tests, and aircraft readiness evaluations as directed.
  • Communicate professionally with ManTech employees and ManTech clients
  • Perform miscellaneous assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed.
  • Travel may be required.
