About The Position

Join Heading Home Corps as a Housing Resource Navigator and you’ll spend your days at a nonprofit organization or public agency t hat has a mission in housing advocacy, social services, and/or public assistance . We’ll train you to help individuals obtain safe , stable housing and support you every step of the way ! How does it work? Y ou’ll regularly meet with part icipants and provide guidance as they navigate resources , set housing-related goals, and develop action plans. Requirements

  • Dependable and have a history of good attendance
  • Able to set a pace and maintain a service schedule, depending on the agreed upon hours commitment
  • Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
  • Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
  • 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
  • A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
  • Able to successfully complete a background check

  • Guide participants in creating housing-related goals
  • Track participant progress
  • Connect participants with social service resources and programs
  • Commit to your own growth through training and professional development
  • Share your experience with the community
