About The Position

Work Schedule: Part-Time, Varies in hours, weekends and evenings. This position lives on property and monitors client safety as needed. The Housing Monitor II is responsible for providing a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for clients and staff. The role involves interacting with individuals who are experiencing homelessness, Serious Mental Illness, Substance Use Disorder, and other related conditions. This role may involve flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. FRINGE BENEFIT OF $5.55 PER HOUR FOR THIS POSITION This is a Federally contracted position; the chosen applicant will receive an additional $5.55 per hour in benefits and/or hourly cash equivalent.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated competency in de-escalation (CPI Model).
  • Possess and maintain valid CPR/First Aid Certification, or ability to attend training and pass certification.
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Responsible and dependable, committed to a team approach.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience working with the unsheltered population.
  • Bilingual

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily health and safety inspections of the property.
  • Complete wellness checks with clients.
  • Provide hospitality services to clients as needed.
  • Conduct new client orientations.
  • Monitor the property at regularly scheduled intervals.
  • Document and report observations of client’s behaviors, activities, and demeanors.
  • Provide crisis intervention utilizing the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) model and contact emergency services as needed.
  • Complete minor maintenance repairs as needed.
  • Clean Vacant units as needed.
  • Assist with facility laundry needs.
  • Coordinate scheduling of Housing Monitor staff.
  • Assisting with coaching and training of Housing Monitor I staff.
  • Other duties as assigned.
