About The Position

The Housing Case Manager provides housing search assistance and case management services to individuals experiencing homelessness, with the goal of obtaining and maintaining stable housing. This position is located at The Inn, a program of Catholic Community Services that provides emergency shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in social services, case management, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of housing resources and programs in the local community.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer applications.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic Community Services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive case management services to program participants, including assessment, goal setting, service planning, and advocacy.
  • Assist participants in identifying and securing appropriate housing options, including market-rate apartments, subsidized housing, and shared housing.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with landlords and property managers to identify potential housing opportunities for program participants.
  • Provide education and support to participants on topics such as tenant rights and responsibilities, budgeting, and household management.
  • Assist participants in accessing mainstream benefits and community resources, such as food assistance, medical care, and employment services.
  • Collaborate with other service providers to ensure coordinated and comprehensive services for program participants.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including case notes, service plans, and housing documentation.
  • Participate in program meetings and trainings as required.
  • Adhere to all agency policies and procedures, including confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
