About The Position

The Houseman plays a vital role in supporting the housekeeping team and ensuring guest satisfaction. This position is responsible for fulfilling all guest and housekeeping requests, preparing and distributing linens for cottages scheduled for cleaning, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in designated areas. The Houseman also assists with delivering amenities, responding to supervisor requests, and ensuring a tidy and sanitary environment throughout the property.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Physical ability to lift, push, and pull required loads.
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Collect building access key for the HUB, radio, and van key from the housekeeping office.
• Retrieve departure boards from the supervisor.
• Prepare linens for cottages scheduled for cleaning based on the departure list.
• Load the van with departure linens and distribute them across the property.
• Attend to laundry dropped off by hoteliers: empty carts and properly store cleaned linens.
• Organize and store amenity orders upon delivery.
• Respond promptly to all guest requests, including delivering items and amenities.
• Communicate via radio with supervisors and housekeepers to fulfill requests.
• Collect linens from cottages as they are completed; ensure no linens are left on HUB floors.
• Remove garbage and boxes from the HUB and empty designated bins at the end of each workday.
• Keep the laundry cage clean, organized, and orderly at all times.
• Assist supervisors with additional cleaning tasks, such as sofa cleaning.
• Drive up to 20 miles within the property as required.
