Houseparents are everyday missionaries, bringing the love of Christ to children from hard places. They live in a family-style cottage and create a safe, Christ-centered home where healing begins and hope is restored. Houseparents: -Care for a group of children by providing structure, love, discipline, and spiritual guidance in a nurturing, home-like setting -Manage daily routines such as meals, school prep, chores, and bedtime with consistency and grace -Model healthy relationships and Christ-like character in everyday life -Walk with children through their healing journey, offering emotional and spiritual support -Serve as part of a gospel-driven team dedicated to trauma-informed, biblically grounded care The role of a houseparent is a calling—an opportunity to serve Christ by caring for children in need of love, stability, and hope. An ideal houseparent is someone who: -Feels called to care for children from hard places -Is a committed and growing follower of Jesus Christ -Is actively involved in a Southern Baptist Church -Lives an active and energetic lifestyle -Is looking for a meaningful place to serve and share the gospel daily
