About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Residential House Parent – Weekend to provide supervision, structure, and a safe, home-like environment for youth in our residential program. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about mentoring youth and supporting children with mental and behavioral health needs. Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Two (2) years of experience working with youth with mental/behavioral health needs (preferably in a residential setting) OR a Bachelor’s degree in a related mental health field
- Valid Driver’s License
- Background history free of offenses listed on the Affidavit of Good Moral Character
- Ability to serve as a positive role model and mentor
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to provide consistent structure and appropriate discipline
- Ability to create and maintain a safe, supportive, and home-like environment
Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision and behavior management for children
- Ensure a safe, structured, and nurturing residential environment
- Implement crisis intervention and approved physical restraint techniques when necessary
- Plan and lead group discussions and recreational activities
- Transport children to school, medical appointments, and other approved activities
- Purchase groceries, plan menus, and prepare meals
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
- Instruct and oversee personal hygiene and physical health
- Monitor and document medication administration and availability
- Maintain accurate documentation and daily records
- Attend required staff meetings and treatment team meetings
- Complete all onboarding and annual required trainings
- Participate in intakes, referral interviews, and fundraising activities as needed
- Report facility or safety concerns promptly
- Perform other duties as assigned
