About The Position

Assure cleanliness of guest floor corridors, foyers, stairwells, and public areas, and assist room attendants to maintain Jesta’s high standards of quality.

Requirements

  • Ability to work in a fast-pace, high-energy and demanding work environment.
  • Ability to work use commercial cleaning chemicals.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and guests.
  • Able to understand and follow all safety related procedures while performing all tasks.
  • Regular attendance in conformance with the standards is essential to the successful performance of this position.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Able to work varied shifts, including Weekday, Evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to verbally communicate with others
  • Ability to take direction from others 
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and supply all housekeeping carts with appropriate PAR levels of linens & towels in compliance with property standards.
  • Remove and soiled linens and trash from rooms upon stripping.
  • Collect all soiled linen and at shift ending all are taken to laundry room for laundry pick up for cleaning service.
  • House person must participate on restock linen on floors as necessary 
  • Clean and maintain common areas, i.e., elevators and elevators trucks stock, all back lending must be in order and perfectly cleaned. 
  • Floor closets must be organized and cleaned.
  • Hallways and stairs must be cleaned daily. Cleaning may require cleaning of windows, sweeping, mopping, waxing, and polishing marble floors, carpet and tile floors as required.
  • Perform deep/ general cleaning as scheduled on business needs. Assist attendants on immediate rushed tasks
  • Manage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely. Ensure follow up with guest are performed in a timely manner to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and quality service. 
  • Follow proper Hotel safety policies and procedures and use safety equipment as needed to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift. 
  • Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
  • Ensure work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris or any objects that can obstruct the job duties from being performed safely, efficiently and effectively.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. Able to work varied shifts, including Weekday, Evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
