The Camp Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment
for campers, guests, and staff.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Knowledge of Salvation Army practices and organization
Ability to pass a criminal background check
Must possess and demonstrate an ability to work with people from all
populations, including community groups, participants, campers, and staff in an
affable, concerned and caring manner
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity
Strong communication skills, including written and verbal
Attention to Detail: the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness is
essential
Time Management: efficiently managing tasks and meeting deadlines is important
Dependability: being reliable and responsible is key to the role
Physical Stamina: being able to handle the physical dem ands of the job is
necessary

Commercial housekeeping experience preferred
Responsibilities
Clean and prepare cabins, sleeping areas, bathrooms, dining halls and other
buildings as need for re-treat groups and the smooth operation for the summer
camp program
Emptying trach cans and recycling bins, ensuring proper disposal
Perform laundry as necessary for counselors; maintain order and cleanliness in
the laundry room
Using cleaning supplies to disinfect surface areas and equipment
Using and maintaining cleaning tools and equipment
Keeping track of cleaning supplies and equipment; proactive communication to
supervisor regarding low inventory and needs
Manage turnover of VRBO in preparation for new guests
Replenish consumable items such as toiletries and kitchen supplies, as needed
