About The Position
The Virginia Department of Health (VDH) is dedicated to protecting and promoting the health of Virginians. Rappahannock-Rapidan Health District (RRHD) seeks an experienced resource to fill the role of Housekeeping worker We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented team member with knowledge of effective cleaning methods, proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies, and a strong commitment to workplace safety. The ideal candidate is skilled in operating manual and powered cleaning equipment, able to follow written and verbal instructions, and communicates professionally with both internal and external customers. This role requires the ability to meet the physical demands of the position while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service excellence
Requirements
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and supplies
- Knowledge of safety practices as related to work
- Skill in the operation of manual power cleaning equipment
- Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to interact and communicate well with internal and external customers
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of position
